From the Kitchen to the Community: The Story Behind Nourish Vibes

Some businesses start with a big idea. Nourish Vibes started with a simple question: What's actually in this?

In a city as busy as Hong Kong, it is easy to forget about the small things, like what exactly is in the cream or scrub we put on our skin every morning. For Nisreen and Taher, the couple behind Nourish Vibes, this question became the starting point for a new business. Nisreen, a Kindergarten teacher with a deep appreciation for natural living, was never fully comfortable reaching for just any product off the shelf. "When I use any skincare product, I always question myself, is this Halal?" she shares. Plenty of products claim to be vegan, but halal-certified options are still rare. So Nisreen decided to make her own, with Taher, her "husband supporter," right beside her.

What started as small batches for family and friends gradually grew into something bigger, and Nourish Vibes came to life.

Knowing What You Put On Your Skin

At the heart of Nourish Vibes is a straightforward belief: you should know exactly what you're putting on your skin. Every product they create is halal, organic, and vegan, free from harmful chemicals and gentle enough for sensitive skin. The range of product includes body scrubs, body creams, face mist, lip gloss, deodorants, facial cleanser, and perfume, all made by hand.

To make sure they get it right, Nisreen has attended workshops and courses led by cosmetic scientists, constantly learning and refining their craft. And the pricing is kept accessible on purpose, because good skincare shouldn't have to cost a fortune.

If you're trying Nourish Vibes for the first time, Nisreen has a clear recommendation: start with the body scrub. "It's been my passion," she says. "It makes my skin so smooth, and straight after, I use body cream." The two work together: the scrub clears the way so the cream can really sink in. "No matter how good the cream is, if it cannot penetrate your skin, you're not getting all the benefits."
