About the business
A Spark of Madness is an Asian Vegetarian cookbook with 116 recipes covering regions from Thailand to Taiwan, Indonesia to India, Seoul to Singapore and beyond. Whilst some recipes are classics and stay true to their cultural origins, others have experienced ‘A Spark of Madness’. Spark Store is an extension of the cookbook and comprises of condiments & chocolates. All products are handmade in Hong Kong, vegan/vegetarian, contain no nasties or preservatives, with some gluten-free options as well. They all adhere to the ‘A Spark of Madness’ ethos of having the perfect balance of sugar, spice, and salt to give you the perfect bite.
What makes it unique
Spark Sauces are Asian-inspired sauces and come in four flavours; Crispy Chili Oil, Crack Sauce, Caramelized Spring Onion and Black Truffle Chili Crisp. They can be used as a condiment or for cooking and for Asian and Western dishes.
Spark Jams are alcoholic jams infused with spices and herbs. The three jam flavours are Peach with Tequila, Pineapple with Whisky and Pink Guava with Ginger. They can be used as a cocktail mixer, BBQ marinade, on a cheeseboard or even on a good ol’ slice of toast.
Mad Honey is a lychee-flower honey from Hong Kong and infused with five Asian-spices, rice vinegar, mushroom powder and salt. Great on pizzas, cha siu, salad and more! Spark Bark is 53% chocolate infused with pretzels, Sichuan peppercorn and salt.
Spark condiments are currently available in Hong Kong, Singapore and UAE. They make great gifts or to enjoy yourself.
